About this training
Today’s complex work environment increasingly requires a broad range of skills to help employees and teams develop and perform to a high standard. Besides more traditional management and leadership skills, coaching skills enable you to focus on talents and help others excel in their work. You will be challenged to hold back a natural tendency to instruct and give advice. Instead, you will develop your ability to stimulate others to adopt new perspectives and find their own alternative solutions. Tapping into their values and talents — leading to heartfelt and sustainable change.
Strong coaching skills will increase your effectiveness as a manager as you learn to accelerate the development of others. In this training, you will gain insight into the coaching attitude, role and styles — in an authentic and transparent way, staying true to your own personal values. You will practice with several coaching models and techniques to boost the effectiveness of your coaching conversations. In high-impact practice sessions, you will work as coach, coachee and observer, resulting in a 360-degree perspective on coaching conversations. The feedback you receive from your colleagues and from the facilitator will help you develop your personal coaching style and discover its impact on others.
